The energy transition is facing major challenges. The electricity grid is getting fuller and fuller, and realizing sustainable projects requires more and more preparation, coordination and investment. At the same time, the need to generate more renewable energy on land is as great as ever. At TPSolar, we believe that these challenges call for decisive action as well as cooperation. That is why today we are launching a new crowdfunding campaign via investment platform Zonhub.
Why this funding?
The proceeds of this crowdfunding will be used for the early development phase of our projects (both solar parks and energy storage systems). This includes costs for permits, preliminary research, and reserving grid connections. Essential steps that cost a lot of time and money, but are necessary to actually get sustainable projects off the ground.
Instead of placing this financing entirely with large parties, as a Dutch family business we consciously choose to work with private investors. This way, we can stay in control, continue to develop our projects in our own way, and give private investors the opportunity to actively help build and benefit from the proceeds of sustainable energy.
Details about the investment
- Start of subscription: Tuesday, 22 July 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
- Annual fixed interest rate: 7.5%
- Duration: 3 years
- Investment amount: from €10.000 (minimum for EU and non-Dutch investors) to a maximum of €500,000
- Repayment: lump sum at the end of the term
- Target amount: minimum €2,000,000 – maximum €2,500,000
Review of crowdfunding campaign 2022
TPSolar is a familiar face at Zonhub. In 2022, for example, we raised as much as 5 million euros through four successful investment rounds. This gave us the opportunity to further expand our company, build several solar parks and establish a healthy, profitable business.
The first investment round of 1 million euros from 2022 has now been repaid; the others will follow in the coming months. As a family business we choose financial independence, we now want to combine this repayment with a new crowdfunding campaign. In this way, we will ensure smooth refinancing of our development costs without becoming too dependent on large external investors. Thanks to efficient cost management and the reinvestment of previous profits, our funding target has remained similar to 2022, while our operations and project pipeline have now grown significantly. A key difference in our operations now is that we are not only constructing solar parks, but also co-located energy storage systems. We do this together with TPStorage.
